Israeli Strikes in Southern Lebanon Kill Fourteen Despite Ceasefire
According to reports, one of the strikes targeted a building and a parking area near the Maarka junction close to Jabal Amel Hospital in the Tyre region. The attack left two people dead and injured 23 others, while also causing significant damage to the nearby medical facility, as reported by an Anadolu correspondent.
In a separate incident, one person was killed and another injured when an Israeli strike hit the town of Chehabiyeh in the Tyre district, according to a state news agency.
A drone strike later targeted a vehicle on the Zefta–Nabatieh road, killing the driver and injuring a medic who happened to be nearby, the agency added.
Further south, two additional fatalities were reported when another drone strike hit a vehicle in the town of Braiqaa. Separately, a Syrian national was killed in an attack near Sheikh Ragheb Harb Hospital in the town of Toul.
According to reports, overnight airstrikes in the town of Kfar Sir also killed five people, bringing the overall death toll from the series of attacks to at least 14, with multiple others injured across different locations.
The incidents were described as part of a continued escalation in southern Lebanon despite the ceasefire framework, with medical and civilian infrastructure among those affected.
